Prepare a short motion study someone can watch
This track explores flat animation through timing, weight, contact, layered action, perspective, cycles and an animatic. Check that you can create and export a simple sequence using the software and format required by the current brief. Strong drawing or design interests can help, but leave room to learn timing rather than judging progress from a still frame.
Show the movement, retain working files and credit any external character or audio assets. For a lift, explain how the timing communicates weight; for a cycle, check the loop; for an animatic, relate shots to the intended sequence. Compare 3D Animation when your interest is mesh-based posing and rendering. The portfolio guide helps present a reel with process evidence.
Seven studies in motion
Standard registration assigns these seven domain tasks plus LinkedIn offer-letter onboarding. The starter assigns onboarding and the first two studies. Follow the current dashboard brief and render format.
1. Bouncing Ball Animation
Create a short sequence using squash, stretch, arcs and natural timing. Inspect the contact and airborne frames to check whether the ball's movement suggests gravity and weight.
Submit: A rendered MP4 or GIF.
2. Weighted Character Lift & Toss
Animate anticipation, strain and balance recovery as a character lifts and releases a heavy object. Use body position and timing to make the effort readable.
Submit: A rendered animation video or GIF.
3. Environment Interaction Animation
Show a character interacting with background objects. Maintain volume, perspective and believable contact while adding secondary movement.
Submit: An MP4 or GIF of the finished interaction.
4. Multi-Plane Action Pursuit
Separate the foreground, middle distance and background to create parallax during a pursuit sequence. Different layer speeds should communicate depth without confusing the action.
Submit: A rendered MP4.
5. Multi-Axis Perspective Combat
Stage a short action sequence with foreshortening, camera movement and impact effects. Establish readable poses before relying on motion blur or flashes.
Submit: An action-sequence MP4 render.
6. Walk and Run Cycles
Produce bipedal walk and run loops with clean lines and consistent volume. Watch the loop boundary and foot contact so the cycle does not visibly jump.
Submit: Looping MP4 or GIF clips.
7. Animatic & Storyboarding
Sequence multiple storyboard scenes into an animatic with audio and camera moves. Use shot duration and staging to communicate the story before detailed animation.
Submit: The completed animatic MP4 link.
Make the sequence easy to assess
These creative tasks require your own animation rather than a downloaded practice table. Keep references and licensed assets clearly identified. Check playback, frame rate, audio and sharing permissions before submitting.
For your portfolio, show the finished clip beside selected key poses or a short process breakdown. Explain one timing or staging decision and what changed after review. Do not substitute an unrelated showreel for the assigned task.

Standard durations are 30, 45 or 60 days with eight total tasks. The 7 Days Starter Instant Internship has three tasks and no submission deadline while unpaid. After its approvals, verified optional payment sets the starter end date. Standard certificates follow the dashboard schedule and confirmed options.
No stipend, placement, job or college-credit outcome is guaranteed. Read fees and completion rules.
